Atti...As you said, I wish it were a bigger image and that portions of the car were not blocked by trees but, having said that, and from what can be seen, this looks an awful lot like a 1955 Barnette-Pontiac 800 Series ambulance....which was billed (by Barnette) as "the greatest ambulance buy of the year". These had a wheelbase of 158-inches, an overall length of 239.2-inches and a height of 69-5-inches. Tipping the scale at 4,370-pounds, the 1955 Barnette-Pontiac 800 Series ambulance listed for $5,477.

End of the line.

Here is a before shot of when I got this car in about 2008. It was to far gone body wise at that time so it was purchased as a parts car to keep other pro-cars going and on the road. The second shot was taken yesterday evening just after it was pulled up from the barn by tractor up to the driveway to be hauled away today. Now that its pretty much plucked clean and its time for this one to make its last voyage! Its next stop will be a restoration shop where a few parts will be harvested from the rear suspension for a pro-car project there along with the rear axle, tires, springs and left rear quarter will be removed, those parts coming back to me. From there she will make her final journey to the crusher.

Heres a '55 Pontiac ambulance I found a couple of years ago...as far as I know its still in the guys yard. It was painted up with the race tracks logo that they did work for back in the 70's

1969 Superior Cadillac ambulance

In Alabama. Owner wants to restore it, but would also sell it. Unfortunately, not for a very realistic price given the condition.

2 & # - A Chrysler Town & Country I found beside a FH in Eufaula, AL. Anyone remember who made these? Summers or something like that? I don't think it was an AG Solar.

I believe both Summers and AG Solar did. There was a connection between the two.
 
The Flower car is owned by a funeral home in Alabama, will not sell going to fix it some day. (we all have heard that before). Its a really solid car being an Alabama car all its life.

The 58 I finally found the owner, owned by a funeral home owner in Mississippi. It doesnt look like much but virtually no rust. He has gotten it running and working on the brakes right now. Wild part he got the car for a funeral, the man who has it passed away and the family traded him the car for his funeral.

The 76 superior is behind funeral home in Mississippi, interesting part it was a limo style combo that was converted to a landau, explains the weird look. It must have been some sort of Superior conversion because the interior side panel were the window would have been has a superior script stamped on it.
