Lazurus auction Oct 2nd - Oct. 3rd 2015.

Wow some serious issues with this bunch. Seems to have a number of pro-cars but in need lots of work. From what I can see someone had an obvious dis-like for glass and went on a rampage breaking a ton of it.

the if restored. Steve you want to tell him about the standing out side looking in at grass in the Springfield or should I. the eureka flower care is doable for around 80 big ones. the 60 might be a better choice most likely only get 40-50 in it. out of those cars he has some good stuff. you just got to be looking for old 4 door sedans and that kind of thing. check out that 58 next to the IHC. be a interesting day only about 900 miles from me. I could pack a lunch. na think I'll stay home. I all ready have projects. anyone goign I could use soe pices off that 67 crown. bid it up to 100 bucks for me.

How about a few more....

I think you just did.

There may be a few usable parts on some of these cars. For some of them, restoration will be an expensive prospect. For others, there would be little hope.

I will certainly not be in Rockford that weekend. I will leave that "fun" to others - and wish the Lazarus Museum Collection a good riddance and good disposal.

The best single part in that whole lot of scrap is the hood ornament on the Howe firetruck # 1022.

The rest is not so pretty.

I hope Rocky grabs that 58 flower car !

Did the dude die ? Is that why his collection of "mint" cars is for sale ?

Yikes,
Darren

you missed one of the best pitch men to ever enter a circus. tent. I really enjoyed the afternoon I spent with him. but then I dropped in. I did not fly in expecting to be able to drive one home. but as I said your looking for a old car there are some in the bunch. just not any pro cars I saw

The frame on the 58 flower car was badly rusted 16 years ago when I sold it to him. I bought the 58 flower car along with a 55 flower car from the Jim Walgreen collection. Vergil Owen now owns the 55, although the coach builder is unknown, it is a very nice car.

For what it is worth I just found out that this action is put on by the bank that floor planned Mr Lazurus. This is in fact a no reserve put on to satisfy a debt to the bank

Today 157 vehicles were auctioned off of the auctioned carr only a few did more than $200.00. tomorrow there is another 250 cars including these.

Here is the pic of the inside of this Packard, the rear floor is missind . What are those hydraulic rams in this pic? Level Control?
