Saturday 8-4-12 was the big day, the old '47 came home to rest in Bucyrus. I knew this coach was HUGE from seeing similar hearses at past International meets... so opted for a rollback to bring her home instead of the car trailer. Once again it was Ronk's Towing to the rescue!
This turned into an all-day event but I feel it was well worth the trouble. Everything is packed inside except the hood... I strapped it to the front of the rollback bed since there was nowhere else to safely strap it down. One interesting extra included is an old Mars siren! Al did a great job documenting this coach and gave me a large binder full of information with it.
First thing I had to do once it was in the pole barn was dig out the landau bars and slap them on immediately. This thing dwarfs the Pinner service car by a mile! It'll be an awesome "someday" project, here's a couple pix of my adventure in a rollback...
