Road to Recovery

So since the disasterous trip to Cleveland, the car has new tires all the way around, the new hub cap is here, and so are the skirts. But until we can get into the body shop, she has been getting a spa treatment. The entire interior has been detailed. Tonight I was cleaning chrome and waxing. Here is a snapshot of the progress from her good side.

I like that Mars light on the roof... It looks kind of familiar, like one that I used to own...:D

Wow that is a beautiful car Ron, I don't believe I've ever seen pics of her before. Just curious, does she have a beacon ray? So sorry you had to go through all that, it had to be painful but thankfully she's well on the road to recovery. And I for one am glad that you came out of the ordeal safe, and that the car is able to be repaired and possibly better than before once all repairs are complete.

I really think you should get rid of it. You have had that old thing for quite some time now. Oh, and you can put me on the list for that one.

All too often I'm hearing about people and tire episodes. Memorial Day weekend i went to a show 75 miles away and a friend had his beautiful 56 Ford pickup there. On the way home, he blew a tire, tore the rear fender and running board off. $5000 in damage. All because of a 15 year old tire!

Yes it has a 184 in the center of the roof. But with the garage door it has to be a detachable mount. Yes Ed, I will be posting the other side after I wax it, polish the chrome and put the new hubcap on. Then I will be going to the body shop for an estimate. I have detailed the interior too that has came out nicer than ever, I will post some pics of that too.

Very nice, 184s are my favorite for 71-76 Superiors, as I feel they match the more squared lines of Superiors better. Beacon Rays look great on M-M Lifeliners though since M-M rigs were more "rounded". Can't wait to see more pics once she's all done!

I want to post some pics of "the ugly side" and the interior since I have detailed it out BUT IT WON'T QUIT RAINING HERE!!!!!

The Flip Side

Snapped a few shots of the side that got damaged. And the patient compartment.

Two weeks ago was passing a semi and his rear outer tire blew hitting my car. Like a shot gun going off. No major damage. All I thought was, good thing it did not blow ten feet in front of me.

Well they fit!

I finally got brave enough to open the box of fender skirts I bought to replace the one that blew off. They fit! Now if it would just stop raining so I can take it all to the body shop for an estimate and get this thing fixed.:applause:
