Default Merry Oldsmobiles

Let's start with some Nebraska rigs. Most of my older PCS friends have seen these photos; however, perhaps some of the "newbies" might enjoy them, as well:

1. Scotia First Aid Unit - 1970 Cotington 48

2. Omaha A.S. - 1975 Cotington 54

3. Ainsworth V.F.D. - 1975 Cotington 54 (this car is now owned by PCS member Amy Schultz in OH)

4. Bladen F.D. - 1969 Cotington 42

What a doll! This was always one of my favorite rigs anywhere. After I photographed her in 1992, I left my name and number in case she was ever offered for sale. I called or went by every so often just to check on this car. In about 1998, someone from Bladen called to say it was for sale. I said I would take it for the asking price, but requested some current photos first. They sent photos, alright; of a COMPLETELY STRIPPED car, including the warning llights, siren and speakers, window decals, and partition cabinetry. Disappointed, frustrated, and angry, I passed on it...what a waste of a very nice old car.

I posted this one under the "CHiPs" thread. This is one of the cars I had when I owned my ambulance service.

Everyone may remember it, here's the '56 Olds ambulance I rescued last winter for PCS member Rocky Fluegge. Any new educated guesses as to who built it? Rocky would love to have the answer...

When Dwayne and i talked we still think that it might be a dixie/comet by the triangular piece above the wing window. When you look at the factory advertising of them they have that on all of them? Anyone want to try to take a crack at that or have any other place's of details to try to figure it out?
