1969 C/B hightop - VA

I've been trying to find a NICE (1968) C-B/Olds 98 High Top for 5+ years to replicate the one our local VFD had new and lost track of. Does any member know if the only difference between a 1969-1968 is an "interchangeable" grille insert? The body and coachwork looks the same to me? THX-MM

Mike, the '67 and '68 ninety eights were very similar in appearance. The '69's......not so much.

Mike, as Kerry says, there are differences between 68 and 69, but even to some whom you would have worked with, they would not appreciate them. It looks like a great chance to bring a past time back.
There were several C/B cars that ran in Calgary in the time, and like you I have never seen a current "sister" car that could be called a perfect match.
I am planning a new project that will miss the "project year" by a hair, but after 50 plus years it is my thought to represent the time as best one can.
Ah if they only still took factory orders.

I sent the seller a note asking if the fender skirts were included and if the skirt hangers (mounts) were in place and complete.

The rear wheel openings have obviously been body worked, so I'm guessing they were rusty and therefore cut out. The skirt hangers are gone. Whoever buys this will have to cut wheel openings out of good fenders to restore this car.
