Wig Wag Alternating Headlights

What year did this become available, if at all, on Superior Coaches? My friend tells me the relay was invented MANY years before my '72 Pontiac, but I am standing my ground that unless it's period correct...no can do.

Thanks...

Alternating headlamps started a few years after the introduction of the 4 beam headlamp system was installed on cars. If you want to install a headlamp flasher and be period correct, then I suggest that you install a Cole Hersee motorized flasher for reliability. My 1963 Pinner Chrysler still is using the original one that was installed when the car was built. The model number from my 1960 catalog is 3034. There is a new one on ebay , however, I suggest that you don't buy it because it is so grossly over priced. I have some in the garage, but just don't know exactly where, so if you are not in a hurry, give me a couple of months (years) to find them..

I am reminded of a quote I saw on a TV show;
"that's a nothing part"
"It's nothing til you don't have one - then it appears to be everything"
