After all this time turns out when Danny told me my Buick had an exhaust leak not a bad lifter or valve, he was right.
The Buick died on me yesterday so off to the mechanic it goes. Turns out a relay for the fuel pump was acting up. He then proceeds to tell me I have a broken bolt on the rear left side of engine causing a sound similar to a bad lifter which isloud when first started but goes just about goes away once warmed up. There are straps on the bolt head so just looking at it you would never know the bolt had broken off.
Had I listened to Danny last November I wouldn't have spent all that money on new lifters.
