we have had the 53 at the Doctors for most of the summer now. at least it has had inside storage. but now they have the pinion bearings replaced and all the valves in and set. things should be ready to go next week. we had that burnt out exhaust manifold issue so now we have two new to me ones we got to have one good one we can use. it runs good I'll get the floors in so we can drive it. I would be willing to bet that it got parked 20 years ago because of the bearing out of the rear end. then suffered all the sitting and getting pushed around damage before I got it. here is what we looked like at noon today. the intake are the bigger ones that are dished. thats the valve spring compressor on the top. boy was I lucky to find a man that still had one of them. not a lot of use for valve in the block tools today.
