The last WWI Veteran, an ambulance driver, dies

with WWII guys dieing off at a rate of 300 a day, it won't take long before we are out of them. wounder how many 16 yo kids today would try to enlist?
 
Canada lost it's last WW I vet,John Babcock February 18,2010 at 109 years old.
Now there is only two left in the world,both in the UK.

This is one of those things that doesn't come up in daily thoughts but sure is interesting and a huge part of history.

Like the JKF situation in the early '60s, nether of these I was alive for but they sure make you sit back and think.

It puts you in a daze for a few minutes while you take it all in.
Time stands still for a few minutes.

Still 2 in the UK ! Good to hear.

I heard on the news today that the last Austrian WWII vet. died at 110 years old and there is one lady left in the UK.

Didn't get anymore details but looks like just one female WWII vet. is left and in the UK.
