Olds Procar Picture Thread

1962 Olds

Would enjoy seeing some photos of some 1962 C/B Olsmobile Limousine Style Sevilles! Thorburg Funeral Home had a combination in Sahara Mist! Sadly to say, no photos exist of it. It was traded in on a new 1975 Sperior Pontiac end load Silver with Black top.

Olds Pro Car. 1941 Olds Meteor

Log onto www.Mitchellfh.com and see a 47 Caddy limo and 41 Olds Meteor in front of their funeral home. On the left side, open the "Funeral Museum" and go to page 18 of 19 to see a beautiful picture of this "still in service" pro car in Iowa. Maybe we could drive over one Sunday afternoon.

I do not know where you saw the 47 Caddy limo. I know he has a 47 Lincoln.
The owner is a friend of mine and the Iowa Hawkeye Chapter has events there every few years, and those who have attended that event can tell you how beautiful the 41 Miller Olds is in person (its even better to ride in it :bigMoon:) and the funeral museum is fantastic! He also has his 1880's Rock Falls horse drawn hearse in a glass sided garage beside the funeral home. He has many other collectibles throughout the funeral home also.

If anyone is in the area look me up also, If I can I will be more than happy to meet up with a fellow PCS member.

A 59 and 60 I forgot earlier.....from Walt McCalls archives....

I suppose I should too.... :)

Pics are as I found it behind the funeral home in TN, as I sold it (still with it's original 12,282.4 miles), and as it sits today with its current owner in FL.

A quick look thru my digital crap and realized I have like nothing on 61's. Adams former car and these 3 ads.

Bottom 2 scanned by S Loftin (note the "Cottingham" Landau)

I was telling Ed that I didn't either, after he posted that '61 Seville combination (post #47). After I bought mine, I dug through every thing I could get my hands on and came up with only three other references - the photos I attached below, which I know nothing about, the junkyard limousine I already posted, and an original copy of the first ad you just posted, which I got from Walter Miller and hangs in my garage now.

Just last year, the '61 Seville ambulance which John posted (post #32) came up for sale on eBay. Not sure where it ever turned up...

So anyway, thank you for adding to the collection of '61 references. I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to have to right-click/save (steal) those last two ads! :hide:
