1) make sure that wife isn't home and won't be back for a long while.

2) empty dishwasher of all dirty dishes and put them to the side

3) remove all loose dirt and grime from dishwasher

4) gently place dirty wheel covers in dishwasher

5) fill dishwasher with appropriate amount of cleaner

6) set dishwasher on pot scrubber mode

7) immediately upon dishwasher cycle ending, remove wheel cover

8) put dirty dishes back into dishwasher, so there is no chance of getting caught

9) make sure to have a friend that you can call to verify that you spent the day with him, and look innocent

10) take cleaned wheel covers to car and install

11) make sure that she doesn't read these forums.... :D

Paul, you are a much braver man than I. The mere thought of what would happen if I was caught makes me break into a cold sweat.

Buying my Criterion cost me a vacation in the Dominican Republic and a '67 Mustang for my wife. I don't even want to think about what washing wheel covers in the dishwasher would cost me!

At least he put the dishes way. He'll do anything if the word
car is included. Maybe he'd make the bed if it was shaped like a car!!
:D

I have tried cleaning Caddy wire wheel covers this way with lousy results. I ended out taking them to a local detail shop to have them clean them.
