got to discussing the rear door check spring with one of us kind of people and I realized I still have a set of CB rear hinges. so we dug them out to play with them a little. one spring broken as Normal one still good. so dug threw my stash of springs and found one with eyelets on each end that I could reform to fit the . this is the results. if you have never seen this set up it might be interesting. the pictures is of the original one. were it goes, how it fits on the leaver and the hinge frame. the hard part is to find one that small a diameter that heavy. as the hinge has to pass over it as it closes

I could not except that there was not a suitable replacement spring readily available out there. nothing in any of the band named automotive stores at all that heavy. so I dropped into my favorit automotive parts house and found them right away. Ace Hardware has one that you can make work. I'm not sure how much 8.2 kilos is, but down here it around 10 years to life if you get caught enough times so we went from here to here and is your intrested in the between it's here. http://www.dropshots.com/jer57747#date/2014-07-08/14:40:18
