1934 Mitchell Chevrolet

while doing research on a few Funeral Homes in my area I came across these two photo's of Mathers Funeral Home ( 1875-1979) in Mathers Corners near peterbourgh, Ontario.

Tom Mcpherson identified this as a 1934 Mitchell Chevrolet Funeral Coach

and a photo of their 1930-31 ? Dodge and the 34 Mitchell

The Mitchell Hearse Company was a Coachbuilder from Ingersoll, Ontario

the Chapel was built in 1929 ( Eastern Ontario's first Funeral Chapel )

now a private home

One of the guys I worked with for more years than I care to admit told me his father was a mechanic who started his career working for Mitchell,and my friend never knew it until a couple of weeks before his dad died..

The Dodge looks like a 1930 to me. I am basing this on the wooden artillery wheels, and the headlamps.
