NM hunt: '50 Cadillac Limo

Same yard as the '39 Packard, the owner wouldn't allow me to pull parts off this. He wants to keep what's left together. Bummer - 'cuz I need a '49/'50 left taillight...

Although missing some parts (including jump seats), this is a straight & rust free base to work with.

I obviously wasn't that person.

Bit overwhelmed taking pictures here and forgot to shoot this more.

Thanks for the correction Martyn. With over 5000 junkyard cars viewed in less than a week it was an easy mistake...

The black '50 sat perpendicularly behind the limo and is visible in the first shot. Wouldn't sell parts off either.

I know the '49-'50 taillight housings have a better survival rate that '51-'53. (Korean War screwed metal quality up.) These were in nice shape. Tough to find a better original with very good luster and no pitting whatsoever.

History?

It's too bad there isn't a written history along with these (almost forgotten) treasures before the wrecking yard owner forgets! MM
