Studebaker Lark ambulance + worthy link

Came across this pic, don't recall seeing it brought up here before:

Researching online turned up coach builder as Athol Hedges of Brisbane. Doing so also turned up a wonderful flickr photostream by sv1ambo. Here's link to page 4 of albums which includes hearses and vintage ambulances:

some vary neat conversion down there. they did them a lot like comet did there Jr series. had Paul's Chevy had a higher roof it would be similar. most of these were based on a 4 door sedan and keep the standard glass. I would love to see how they were laid out in side. but all you ever see are the 3/4 shots from the rear.
 
Mr Hamlin has probably seen some of these things in person. It looks like it started out life as a 1964 Daytona perhaps 4 door sedan, and uses some 1963 taillights. Studebaker exported a lot of cars to locations with right hand drive for many years, and had small assembly plants in several of them, to beat the tariffs.
