Other than dying and going to heaven one could not have had a better weekend than the one Terri and I just spent with Gene and Vonda Williams. Bill and Karen were there as well making it even more enjoyable. The only thing lacking was not getting to embalm but I did get to position head and hands.
We started Saturday with a nice drive from NSB to the Williston Car Show. It was their first year and sure it will get better. Due to the Lifeliner alternator going bad on me Terri and I drove the Vette. After the award and trophy presentation we had a 5 mile long police escorted cruise with Gene and Bill leading the way running Code-3. Then off for the Grand Tour of one of "The Williams" funeral home and his Garage Majhal. Outstanding.
We were then escorted to their home for dinner and some of the best homemade pecan pie handmade by Vonda. Now that was good!! We began Sunday morning with coffee and breakfast then a tour of the other funeral home which to me, "Now that is a funeral home". The rich history of the building was flowing and a facility that is second to none. Then it was time to head home so off we go.
I cannot express my "Thanks" to the William's family for their gracious hospitality and truly a weekend we shall treasure a lifetime. Thank you Gene and Vonda!!
