That's what I heard too. Its really too bad, even though it wasn't a real hearse.
Yep, they only made one and it performed its own stunts

There is so little information on the Jaguar hearse and everyone's post so far are correct. Type in " Sports Hearse " and you will find on YouTube what looks like a replica of the Harold & Maude Jaguar Hearse which is part of a art show in a museum in Paris France. I cannot find anymore information on that particular car, still looking into it. I believe there is also an auto restoration shop working on a replica.
