'70s Sedan Ambulance

Here's a "whatzit" from a collection of New York City ambulances posted on Facebook.

It's not hard to tell what it is - a '75 or '76 Cadillac Series 75 limousine, used as a neonatal transport unit at New York Hospital in New York City. It's got a lightbar and Fireballs on the hood. (The big rig in the background is a GMC Transmode, which was pretty popular as an ambulance in the '70's, especially for neonatal transport.)

My question is, "why?" :confused2:

Steve,
I will second that question ?:hide:

I thought Oakland Ca was the only city in the country that used a70's Limo as an ambulance for "High Risk"infants.....I see they were not....

Not unusual, LeeAnn has the same thing going.
