Need some ID help

Wondering if anyone knows what the pictured it is and what it is for. There were three of them located in a 1952 Barnette. The center hole is tapped 5/16 - 18 so something went in there. There were two located inside the backdoor (like in the example pic) and one located forward. I'm asking this for another member who found three of them in an old Barnett. Thanks for the help.

no question about it, they were attached to the floor to accommodate what is more commonly known as a skeleton rack. The rack has rollers to accommodate a casket. The are usually found in a combination car, however, sometimes an ambulance would have them for that "special" person that has died, and was an "ambulance attendant" (old term).
