Yeah BUT I think I would rather fight undoing the "custom" work than rust it does not look rusty. There are plenty of rust buckets for parts.

You need to look more closely Peter. It has a layer of visible bondo in all of the usual locations. Lower doors, fenders, etc.

I can totally relate!
but the evidence of bondo does not have to mean rust repair. as it's a pro car one will only get to guess from pictures. who ever grafted the 59 fins on did a decent job. from them so it may have be repaired correctly. the mud one doesn't know if it's a 16th of a inch or 3 inches deep from a pictures. the only think one knows is it doesn't have a 1/8 inch of primer on it.
but to redo all that work would be harder then fixing a little rust. you can only work the panel so many times before it's to thin to work again.
