NSB Christmas Parde 2018

What a fantastic Christmas Parade this year. We had enough candy this time and per usual, LIFELINER performed perfectly. 6.2 miles at idle speed with all three sirens and lights on-Excellent. We did have some snow this year-yep snow!

Sorry Richard, I only see 2 sirens. A Q on the roof, and 2 speakers for an electronic siren. Where are you hiding the 3rd siren?

looks lie a lot of fun it rained up here for the light parade but we have a little more then a couple car lengths up here today

Growing up our local funeral home had a combo with a siren behind the grill, I'm pretty sure it was a Federal model 28. I remember it sounding *exactly* like the big Qs on fire trucks and as a kid I could never figure out where the sound was coming from.

Quite a difference between the sound of a Model 28 and a "Q", and I have run under both of them. The company that I worked for back in the day had a "Q" stuffed behind the grille of both a '62 Superior Pontiac Consort, and a '63 C/B Olds Seville, so apparently there was enough room in some of those '60's cars. But I do agree that Model 28 sirens were probably more prevalent in combos, due to the lower cost. A "Q" would also coast a lot longer than a "28."
