1960 Cadillac Superior Hearse/ambulance combo. This is a wonderful and unique car from the era of giant fins and and is one of 11of its type known to be still running. A '96 LT1 engine and transmission were installed in 2004. Steering box has been rebuilt, brakes were redone. The work left to be done is primarily cosmetic, and some electrical. The body is straight and in good shape for a 54 year old classic. The car recently suffered some "storage rash" on the rear quarter panels, and there are some rust spots on the roof edge and passenger side floor panel. The interior is still original, and the bed has the hide-away rollers which all work. There are 5 doors on this car, including suicide doors on both sides, and the rear door. Superior hearses from this time period included round windows in the back corners, and the elegant lines of a limousine. Nearly all of the chrome pieces are still with the car as well as fender skirts. The windshield has a vertical crack on the driver's side, which has not grown in the14 years I've owned the car. This car could be fully restored as there has been no modification done to lessen its value, or it could be finished as an every-day driver car. The car is presently stored in So. California.
