Vintage License Plates

Mike e-mailed a link to this photo of his OHP car. He asked for it to be posted for you.

They had 'em like this (earlier year, same body style) when I lived in OK in the '80s. Some had no roof beacon, just the steady-red spotlight.

Steve: THANKS for posting the picture. This one is for "Troop F" based in Ardmore, OK complete with a Stevenson Radar Unit in the LR Window and Hill Light, with three red, the white light on an angle and RS Steady Red Spotlight.

Worked on our township P.D. here in Michigan and drove the same cars when they were new. We loved them. I'm restoring a 78 Plymouth Michigan State Police car..Hope it looks as good as yours when done..

Last weekend, we won the San Diego Police Chief's "Choice Award" at the Annual" Cops & Rodders" Show. Other than the rarity of an OHP Car in CA, people seem to be really attracted to the "Hill Light" in operation and the (operating) Stephensen Mark-IV Radar System that is one of the older original types ever used. THX AGAIN! MM
