During that era, it seemed that any odd appearing or weird stuff was what was targeted by dealers to be shipped out of the country... wasn't uncommon for a dealer to sell 4 hearses at one time to a broker who shipped them to other countries.
(Meanwhile back at the ranch, after thinking of the FWD hearse I spotted 20 years ago, I think back to an episode of Adam 12 Carol and I were watching last year, the actor playing the grocery store manager looked familiar... after about 22 seconds I told her I had it, "that's Larry Storch...was on F Troop...". She waited until the credits rolled and yes, it was Larry Storch... she then inquired as to how I could even walk around and function with such useless information stored within...
