what is this?

This looks like a air valve stem just inside the rear door of my 76 Superior on the left side by the cot bar. Then only thing I could think of is for a air ride air bags but I don't see any air shocks under the car.

Yes correct. I have exactly the same on my 1972 Superior Cadillac 54, for the air shocks as mine is still equipped.

Thank you all, do you all use it? How many psi do you keep in it? I'll shoot some air in mine and see if anything happens!

Joel: I put out the same question several years ago and it was suggested to start at ~ 60 lb. That worked very well. If they are still in place you will see the rear end slowly rise 2-4 inches with a definite change in the ride. Good luck!

The air shocks I bought recently said if the car is unloaded to keep about 20 in them. None will damage them, too much will damage them. If loaded about 80-110, BUT only temporary. Also they said to only raise the car level, no higher.
