Stumbled across the "National EMS Museum" website this morning. They have links to some great old video of ambulance service at work. "Sirens in the Night" from 1972 documents the EMS in Jacksonville Florida and has some nice shots of pro cars at accident scenes, as well as early EMS providers (including morticians) at emergency scenes. "Life or Death" from 1977 is also interesting. While as a funeral home ambulance historian I don't agree with some of the generalized editorial comments favoring "socialized" ambulance service, I thought some here might enjoy the videos.
