In the weekly email newsletter I receive from the ASA (American Society of Anesthesiologists) I saw the headline: "ASA Member Resuscitates Heart Attack Victim After 96 Minutes of CPR." Many of you will already guess correctly that this is Dr. Roger White. There were two links, one for the ABC News story and one to the USA Today article, which is more thorough and details Dr. White's involvement. While not present on scene, one of the Mayo One helicopter paramedics called Dr. White for advice and he directed their efforts from the hospital. This may wind up being the longest successful resuscitation on record and it thankfully had a happy ending. Good job Dr. White!
