I never seen mirrored glass in the cross. Was that ever a thing to do?

I have seen it before. I believe that it was a "trademark" of Flxble, because I have never seen it on any other body builders cars.
 
It was pretty straight forward to have a mirror silvered in the 1950's. Almost every town of a reasonable size would have a glass company that had the equipment to do the project.

I, too, have only ever seen the mirrored crosses on Flxibles. Someone must have jumped on it quickly! The post has been deleted.

Here's lookin' at you kid! The mirrored cross in my '60 Flxible ambulance.

As mentioned, it seems to be only Flxible that did this.

How many medics out there have had nosy-rosies gawking into your rig during a call imagine gawking into the side window to see who is on the stretcher only to see yourself,awesome.
 
here are a couple more. I know there is a lot of others but the mirror doesn't really show in them. the 41 from the meet Bill mentioned and a 47 in a gathering in Minnesota. you may know the man in the mirror
