Grille mounting a Q

I FINALLY found a Q1b in my price range!

My 1962 Cadillac Superior still had the solonoid and wiring for the siren and brake intact. But of course the siren itself and any kind of mounting bracket was not there.
The car has (had) AC so there is the additional condenser in front of the radiator. This prohibits the siren from facing forward, were they mounted sideways behind the grille? There is no indication what the (missing) mount looked like.

This is how the Q2 was mounted behind the grill of my '66 Superior hightop. Sorry no shots of the actual mount JR

JR, they were commonly mounted sideways. Remember, the sound comes out the side vents (the air enters from the front), so sideways is not too bad.

Usually, there was just a steel plate mounted to supports up front, and the siren bolted to that.
