Carved Panel Lincoln Zephyr Hearse Picture

The coachwork and carving details look a lot like A. J. Miller and that's possible. Miller built on a wide array of chassis.

Zephyr Hearse

It's based on a 1938 Lincoln Zephyr V-12. Looks to be painted light silver or gray.

I nearly fell off my chair when I saw this one. More than rare! Probably built by a Canadian coachbuilder, most likely someone in Quebec. The carving details don't quite match AJ Miller. John Little in Ingersoll ON did a few carved cars, but I've never seen this one. I should really bid on this photo.

Why pay for this photo? It's from the public domain on the Bibliothèque et archives nationales du Québec. This ebayer just made a copy in high resolution of this pic like I did 4 years ago... and sold it printed on Ebay. ! Thief?

"Campagne de sensibilisation dans le cadre de la semaine de la sécurité dans les transports, au Square Phillips à Montréal / Edmond Mount . - 1957 " Picture taken corner of Sainte-Catherine street, Montreal.. Trees are bigger but nothing changed. The building on the background is still a Hudson's bay Co store.

I also think the car is from John Little, maybe their sculpted drapes/curtains on this carved have a distinctive pattern? Note that a Quebec white coach in 1957 is a child hearse. They also removed the top ornament for the speed kills ad.

here is a shot the same day, with another hearse owned by Dallaire.
