Ambulances, Service & Funeral Vehicles

My name is Nigel Parker from Bath, England.

Here at Brooklin Models we manufacture hand-built 1:43 scale models using white metal.

We are looking to produce, as an ongoing series, models of long wheelbase Ambulances, Service & Funeral Cars. Although I have the usual books on Professional Cars they offer limited information. So I am asking for help with research on these subjects.

Listed below are pre-war subjects I would like to know more about. If any “P.C.S. Members” have any information, no matter how small. i.e. wheelbase / photograph or advice, please email the factory at: brooklin_models@talk21.com

Ambulance, Service & Funeral Vehicles based on the following:

1934-35 Buick Services 60 + 90 Chassis
1936-37-38 Buick Series 40 Chassis
1935-36 Pierce-Arrow
1937-39 Lincoln Model K

The list is far from complete, subjects from the 40’s & 50’s will be included. But, this is enough to start with.

Once again, any information, no matter how little will be greatly appreciated.

Regards to all,

Nigel

Hi Nigel,

That sounds like a fun project! If you can tell us what coachbuilders you may have in mind, some members here can probably help with exterior photos as well. I'll provide what I can in the meantime.

1937-39 Lincoln Model K:
KA chassis - 136 wheelbase
KB chassis - 145 wheelbase

1935-36 Pierce-Arrow:
836A chassis - 136 wheelbase
840A chassis - 139 or 144 wheelbase

Sent these to your email too.

Adam
