Darren,
I did not check the hood out very closely, but may be able to stop back fairly soon. I'll get back to you on that. I did purchase the one remaining C.C. rim that remained on that car.

thats 400 miles from me. nowhere near my part of the world it just in the same state. we could have used some stiff off that 63.

Adam,
The Chevy looks more like a 1951, judging by the hood bird and emblem. However it does look like it is a different front clip than the rest of the vehicle. Were you able to get any interior shots to determine ambulance or hearse?
It is interesting as it does not look stretched. Almost looks like a station wagon but appears to have a partition. Maybe it is just the angle.

The '62 Superior Cad and the '67 Superior Pontiac are the only 2 coaches that they are willing to part out at this time. The others are for sale as complete cars.

Joe,
It is definitely a a stretch. It is just the angle. The paint is weathered enough to where you can see where the roof was cut.

The '64 Superior Crown Sovereign combination REALLY needs to be saved and I appreciate the fact that they are not willing to sell parts off of it. Too solid and too rare to part.

Not pro-car related, but incredibly cool and at the same yard. I would love to have it, but I would be living in it!

That bus is outstanding !

The possibilities are endless.

Get is running and back on the road, a diner, a guest house heated and air conditioned, a shop, hotdog or ice cream stand, etc...

Very cool !

How much was that ?

Darren

I really like old buses for some reason, they are just so unique and interesting.

At our 2016 PCS Int'l Meet in Gettysburg, we will have a tour of the AACA Museum in Hershey, Pa. Guess what they have there, a section full of vintage buses. Obviously, there are many rare and beautiful cars and trucks there too!

I stopped by this yard again today to check out the '62 hood for Darrin. I was looking in the rear of the '73 Superior combination and noticed that it had a factory installed rear ash tray. Definitely the newest coach that I have seen with a factory-installed ash tray in the rear! Same ash tray that Cadillac used in their back seat door panels. It was so stuffed with cigarette butts that I had to dump it in order to get the door closed.

What was the condition of the '62s hood ?

Darren

I would consider it to be in good condition for being out in the elements. About 4 pin holes on the passenger side. Very straight, no moldings. Looks worse in the photos that in person.

If in that yard again I still need the right side of a rear bumper for my 73. I had a set but used the right side for a Criterion that needed it.

Thanks

Richard,
Right side was good, left side was bad. Unfortunately, they want to sell the '73 Superior as a complete car. Not a bad buy at $1500 with a perfect windshield!
