89 Country Squire Ignition switch plug

I went to replace the ignition switch in my 89 ford country squire wagon on Friday. disassembled the steering wheel, pulled the connector out,and it fell apart. Got a new connector from auto zone, but it did not include a diagram to show where the different wires plug in.
I've looked on their website, and it has no info for a car this old, even though they sell the replacement part. Short of tearing apart the steering column in my 88'grand marquis I'm at a loss to find out where all these wires go.
Can anyone direct me to a source for a wiring diagram? Any help appreciated!

I would have thought the wires would have been in a plastic plug/connector.
If you have no luck at a local Ford or other service garage try the library. I don't think any of my shop manuals or Motors/Chilton books come up to the 89 models. Go to Google search and ask for 'ignition switch wiring for 1989 Ford wagon'. There are pictures and more info there.
Good luck,
Mike
