Default Claremore Elks Car Show 2018

So I took part in my first car show this past weekend. Although it was around 44 degrees with high winds we went out anyway. My wife stayed in her car the entire time but I just hung out sitting on the back of the hearse, talking to people are the took a look.

To my surprise I actually won a trophy. It was broken down into categories, and they moved me into the "special interest" category so I would win something haha.

Here are some pictures from the show:

And a few more of the other cars.

Several kids climbed around in the back and had fun. One dude wanted to lay down in the back and let his wife take a picture. I refrained from rolling my eyes but I thought "hey, whatever makes you happy".

Will be alot more fun once its warmer.

Looked to be an awesome time. Always fun to spend time with our family and kids around these cars. And congrats on the trophy!

If you happen to find one, that would be great. I've been looking here and there but no luck yet.

You will find a better molding, but you might not be able to find a perfect molding. They are always cracked at the point.

just so you know that body style the Landau combination is the rare of the rare.

I don't remember the 68 being that bad the 69 were. but the good news is today they have a low temp solder that works will on them.

I didnt know it was a rare body style, come to think of it though I havent seen many combinations with landaus. Usually if anything I normally see them with the removable landau panels.

Rest assured I will certainly not be modifying the car or its body, I will be eventually doing some body work hopefully to fix the little bit of rust damage I have but thats more restoration than modification.
