Greetings,

I received this siren from a friend of mine. It was used on a now retired fire apparatus. The Data plate is half painted but shoes the following:

Volts - 12
Amps - DC
Painted Over - 18 (I assume Model)
Painted Over - 2D15D6 (I assume Serial No)

In doing a quick internet search including John Dorgan's archive, the hits for a Federal Model 28 do not look like this one.

Found this video on YouTube of what seems to be the same model.

Any idea of what I have?

It "is" a Federal model O. The chromed version of this siren is the Federal model VG. It was the smallest siren in the Federal line and called "The Volunteer". It was made into the mid eighties.
