As part of the vehicle registration process here, I had to have the weight of the vehicle for the papers. Just in case anyone is interested (Richard & Dean) the weight of a 1973 Cadillac Lifeliner with 1/2 tank of gas and no medical equipment on board is 6908 lbs. (3140 kg).

Front axle is 3322 lbs (1510 kg)

Rear axle is 3586 lbs (1630 kg)

S&S Comparison

As Canadian Evan Butchers would say.... our former (Completely Loaded and Equipped)1973 S&S-Cadillac Medic Mark-I "Tipped the Toledos" at 8003 lbs when first registered here in CA as a Commercial Vehicle (with weight fees) as it wasn't 25 years old yet at the time for historical plates. You would think with the fiberglass top cap and all.... it would be lighter than a Lifeliner, but that's what it was?.... and didn't question it at the time. MM
