I don't understand taking the wheel covers off every time you drive a car. Wheel covers for a '57 Desoto are not that tough to find if one is, somehow, lost.
Some owners do that to keep an eye on the lug nuts while traveling.
Sweet car!!!! For whatever reason, I've got a soft spot for 57-59 DeSotos. I passed a dealer that had a '59 convertible (red w/white, red leather) a couple years ago, thought I'll stop on the way back. Damn the luck, sold it in the few hours it took me to return.
This one would even fit in my garage. Hmmmmmmm!

I agree. I feel the same way about people taking off fender skirts while driving.
That is definitely Dawson's ambulance. (Unless he sold it...???)
