Looks like a fun project...

I love it: "ORIGINAL SUN BAKED PATINA PAINT". Didn't we used to call that "faded paint"? When did faded orange suddenly become romatic? ;)

It would be great to be restored.

This is very possibly a Stoner,(the rig,i don't know about the owner) I owned 3 stoner ambulances at one time.Purchased at an auction in reno,Nv.when the former AIDS ambulance went bankrupt. They were very well built, and gave us good service:my2cents:

From like 79-83 I had a 1972 GMC 3/4T van that I absolutely loved. It had an earlier 69 300/350 4 Bolt Main from a wrecked Caprice coupled to a T400. I drove that van all over the country in my younger wilder days. I even bracket raced with it for 2 years. It was probably one of the most reliable vehicles I ever owned.

Steve I believe that fading is from constant washing and waxing it,"that will fade the paint job ya know" quote from wayne krakowski to his boss who insisted on constant washing and waxing,P.S. my efforts failed....

Close I guess, but not a Superior...

Always thought this might be another great project...
