Because I'm curious...

Aside from your pro cars (or any other pro car), what are your top five dream cars of all time? I'll start...

In no particular order:
- 1980's Ferrari 288 GTO
- 1960's TVR Grantura/Griffin
- 1980's Lotus Turbo Esprit (the James Bond era ones)
- 1970's Lancia Stratos
- Austin/Morris Mini Cooper (real Minis, none of those BMW built things)

heres mine

1967 Pontiac GTO........1967 Mercedes Benz 600 Pullman.......1965 Cadillac Coupe de Ville......1940-41 Lincoln Continental.......1965 Lincoln Lehman-Peterson Limo

my five

My top five would include my 69 Camaro convertible. I bought this car new. It's still mine after all these years. If I had known I would have it this long I would have probably ordered more options.
Next would be a Cadillac Mirage pick up from the mid 70's. Low production, built with Cadillac's approval of workmanship.
My third choice would be a 1954 Cadillac coupe de ville. This is the car I learned to drive in.
Fourth on the list would be a 1967 Jaguar XKE roadster. This would be yellow with black interior and top and chrome knockoff wire wheels.
And my fifth choice would be a Rio red 1958 Chevy Impala convertible with the 348 cubic inch engine. This is the car I had when I was only 17 years old. At that time it was just a car. So it got traded when I thought it was time for a newer car.
Maybe not the most exotic list but it is my list.
This should prove to be an interesting thread. There are probably many out there that will be able to tell us what our lists mean. To me they just mean we all still have dreams. And you never want to quit dreaming.

any 67 to 72 gm 2 1/2 ton truck with stock and grain box 2 speed rear end and a hoist.
71 or 72 fleetwood 75
67 Oldsmobile tornado
1956 ford 9 passenger county squire wagon I traded for a willies jeep in 71
but then of course it would all depend on what I had to give up from what I currently have to get them. after all what I now own is the reason I don't have any of these. ;)

Well....I'm not giving up my '03 GMC ext cab not never...The ones I had and for mostly gave up for monetary reasons at the time...Who has'nt?...

'76 Ford Starsky & Hutch...(1of2 Actual TV Cars) I lucked into after the Series folded...

'68 Mustang, '69 Chev Caprice 2 Door I had for over 25 years and just got rid of one day.

I also had for a short period of time one of the Smokey and Bandit Trans am's...It had no VIN so I was told it couldn't be registered and the guy I sold it to Registered it anyway:mad:

I like vehicle that are not common or that are not wanted by many people. My list would be like this. My list is vague, but for the most part I like anything that was built in the 50's and 60's. That is when vehicles had personalities.

-1991 GMC Syclone
-1960-1970 right hand drive Mini
-1955-1957 Nomad
-1950-1966 panel truck
-1960's station wagon and make

Since we get to dream here....I'm gonna dream big.
1) 1955-1959 Bentley S1 ( A Flying Spur is too much to dream for)
2) 1956 Lincoln Mark II ( in black of course)
3) 1963 Imperial 4 door (also in black)
4) Dodge Power Wagon from the 50's.
5) A mint original 1964 S&S Park Row combination with front and rear A/C.

And once I obtained all these they would probably sit in the garage most of the time. I LOVE driving my 2 beater trucks ( 1971 Dodge D100 and a 79 Ford F150 that I am usually hauling 4000lbs of gravel in) too much anymore to ever want a show quality car ever again. And since I have most all of the above in miniature, I'm a happy camper. :)

Just a correction here, Cary. In 1956 and 1957 the Mark II was NOT a Lincoln. It was a CONTINENTAL MARK II. Continental was a separate division of Ford Motor Co in those years; they were a separate division from Lincoln. In 1958, the Continental was brought back into the Lincoln division and was NOT a separate marque at that time.
