normal old stuff

final got the carb back for this one. we wont talk about some peoples business sense. but it's back. new bushing and complete kit in it. you find a man that can work on one of these and do good you have to hang with him.

we cleaned things up and got it back on and once we plugged the coil wire back in it poped right off. I got to looking at the old gasket and I can see were it was leaking inside. lot of rust in the inside of the passage way and carbon going into the primary. she just runs like a car that needs driven so we'll drive it. the big oops was the superior rear heater valve has failed to keep the green gooie stuff in. so we swapped that out and so far the spare one from the left over parts bucket is holding.

did learn some stuff . rather then fight the steel lines start the fuel line before you put the carb in place and I'll pass on when doing some thing with mutable gaskets a couple of #2 Phillips screw driver will help to align things so you can get a bolt in with out messing up the you can't get anymore gasket.

so final we are out of the garage and it runs, a little rough but it runs. so lets take it for a spin out to the truck stop 5 miles out of town. left a note with Kandy if we are not back in 20 minuets bring the pick up.

but like everything on a pro car it's fix this but first we need to fix that all the way threw it.

so is it sub-post to drip green stuff out of this end. I mean we got snow last night but it was white. shut off my new uses valve and fired it up. but first we needed to set the fast idle and put the speedometer cable back on. it appears that the clip that holds it to the back or the instrument cluster is missing. so slid that back in place, toped the radiator off and the boys and I went for a ride. man it ran better when we got back. so it pull the rear heater out and jump the hose. now we can drive it sum till something else falls off. they all wake up at a different pace.

now all i wanted to do was remove the heater and jump the hose,clean up my mess and go in. but in true spirit of but first, we had to remove the other mouse nest before we could go in. you can't get the stink out if you don't remove the nest. man this one was a big one they used all the horse hair out of the rug in the tool box. then of course the floor in the tool box was rusting threw from the inside out. I figure we can burn the mouse stink out with a little rust mort. but first we need to clean out the nest. it went clear over to the jump seat under the rubber. a word of advice you got to get them out before you use the spray they were using this one for a pillow

I can fix you up with the rims and wheel covers Ed! You could probably sell the rims that are on it to some kid for $200. It is at a tow lot, so I assume that the price is very negotiable. It actually looked to be pretty solid! It is in Lincoln, NE, so only a hop, skip, and a jump for you!

what I need is a storage locker. one with about 16 bays at least 24 feet deep x 10 feet wide and 8 ft doors. it doesn't need a floor in it just electricity to plug in a battery charger and most impotent just across the street from the house. my wants have exceeded my needs by about 9 cars right now.

I wonder who was transported in this car with the strange vinyl top and Continental kit!!
