1969 CB 42" in South Carolina

I was hooked up with a funeral home in Anderson, SC by a mutual acquaintance. The son of the owner has a lot of neat toys. On the grounds: He bought a 1969 Olds C/B 42." I found it in Google; white over blue paint job looks great. Found it on an auction site, although I don't think this is where he found it. The "blue" seems to have a tinge of purple. Very sound body- interior looks very good although someone carpeted the patient compartment and put in a modern stretcher bracket. He also has a motorcycle hearse, and a fire truck. He also is storing a Caddy ambulance for someone, although the Caddy is in the shop today. I'll get together with the owner in the coming days to discuss this historic pieces. He also has a flower car which has no markings as to who built it. It's not a stretch chassis. A 6 door limo, two Chrysler based hearses (ok mini vans)....stay tuned for more. Will give more info soon. Photos attached.
Enjoy!
Kevin

Nice storage shed for them. A man droppes the bumper replates it and repaints the grill argent it will be a vary sharp car.

Kevin,I 'm surprised that no no one so far has noticed the blue car you posted is a '71, not a '69. I'm sure it wold be a nice project for someone.

It is a '69, not a '71.

I always HATED that 80's-90's trend of painting bumpers. But at least the coach was not painted that hideous hot pink or lime green that was popular at that time.

Chroming is not cheap, in 97 front and rear for my 67 Pontiac 2+2 cost $700. In 2002 front and rear for my 55 Buick cost $1200. Inflation.

I miss the days of a $50 rechrome job.

The '72 models also have a different grille, bumper, and headlight bezels than the '71s.

72 pic , They both ended up in the same great home. :)
