we have been plugging away on the 58 for some time now so we are up to putting a few things back on the car. in antacaptation of that event we have splashed a little color in the proper places. this will be the outer body color this go round.

now me I call it Royal blue but it's the standard dark caddy blue. they use it for a number of years from 57 up to and thru the 80's slight variation of the grades of metallic and the amount of clear in it. every year had the same color different name. with a number different paint codes in the years. you only see the Dupont paint code change as the products changed. we had to go up to the 66 year to get a number they could mix for me in this type of paint. we'll match the exterior up with a number from the shade samples in the poly urethane formula for the outside. but you lay the 58 chip against this on it's the same color. with a little bigger flake so it has just a little more sparkle in the sun
