Default 1-18-14 Head-On Ambulance Crash

This happened during a snow storm with diminished visibility. No more details other than what was posted on the KARE 11 television web site. Assuming that conditions were to bad for helicopter evac so it was a long ambulance ride from rural Wright County to North Memorial in Minneapolis.

BUFFALO, Minn. Four people were injured in a head-on collision between an ambulance and an SUV early Saturday, according to the Wright County Sheriff's Office.

Just before 1:30 a.m., Wright County dispatchers received a report of a two-vehicle crash on Wright County Road 35 near Eaken Avenue Northeast in Buffalo Township. A westbound Allina ambulance and an eastbound 2013 Lincoln SUV collided head-on, according to the Wright County Sheriff's Office.

Paramedics and a patient in the ambulance along with the driver of the SUV were taken to Buffalo Hospital and North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

The Wright County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the incident.
