1965 S&S lowline florentine flower car info?

I just also got my new professional car mag, and inside there was a picture of the 1965 Florentine flower car. The car blew me away with a actual low roof, instead of the commercial car glass. My question is did they do this on any other years. And is this the only one that was made that the picture was taken of? As most of you guys know I love my Kustom cars, and I love that this car looks like it has a chopped top. Just curious what other info is out on this one. Thanks for the info if any.

S&S built these "lowline" Florentines through 1968. Photos exhist of these cars as 1967 and 1968 models but, I don't recall seeing any 1966s. They were built to special order only and were not "catalogued" offerings. They are indeed handsome cars.

I like the look of the low line better than the commercial glass on the flower cars too. That one would look great parked next to my 65 Coupe de Ville!

My 1953 Eureka flower car has a low roof line, giving it that sleeker appearance. I was told that this is precisely why Eureka lowered that roof. Compare it with Superior of the same year, for instance, and see how Superior's roof line is much higher. I have to duck to get into my Eureka.

And the infamous Imwalle 71. Now resides in Michigan ( I believe).

I love all flower cars and would not be too picky, but I also do like the looks of the low top better, and prefer a East coast style with the deck. The Chicago style looks too much like a pick up, but would not turn one down.
Anyway, Im not sure if this is the same '68 S&S posted earlier, but if so it was in better condition here.

If I'm not mistaken its owned by Cole Funeral Home on West grand blvd. in Detroit, Michigan, somewhere I got a picture of it outside in there parking lot.

TY Andrew.....I had Coles in the jpg name but I wasn't sure. I know I have numerous other pictures of this car ( and a few other 65-68's), they aren't in a digital format yet.

WOW! That 68 S&S Florentine really went downhill since we owned it 15 years ago. It was still in excellent condition when we traded it. I wonder what has become of it. Pretty sad to see it neglected.

So, what's so infamous about the Imwalle car? Imwalle Memorial is just down the street from a great Chinese place, Wok Inn, where I go for lunch occasionally.

Man I am still really digging these low line flower cars. Im telling you if I stumble onto a nice running caddy 4dr, im going to stretch one and build my own car.

Rocky,
I think that you are going to want to start with a 2-door hardtop and then add the second set of doors from the rear of a Series 75.

just as many made from a convertible and no stretch. if would all depend on how big a cab you wanted. verse how big a rear compartment. or if you intended to do a exact clone. but I like the looks of the low top also.
