the end is near

Grandpa's Garage, a local antique mall for cars, trucks, parts, toys, and anything transportation related is closing at the end of July. The building owner would not renew their lease. Some of our members have purchased items here. Being only 12 minutes away I usually made an inventory tour once a week. This week I scored a Federal 17 beacon with a purple dome lens. Many sirens, lights and more have been found here. I have posted several items that were found there in other threads.
Hate to see this happen to a business that has continued to grow over the last 2 years. The owner says he will be looking for a long term lease or a building for sale near by. I hope he finds something soon. Withdrawal is already setting in.

Heading there tomorrow for a final look-around. Their business took off more than I thought it would. I hope they find a new location.

who can say now days why thing go the way they do. but sorry to see such a good business have to drop out.

It's a great place that I really enjoyed visiting last time I was in Springfield. I also love the huge antique malls that are nearby on the interstate.
