2012 Burn Run

Big thanks to Robert Shepard for bringing his Criterion from Arizona. Donna Culwell was there with her 70 S&S but she was placed with a different group. Every year, as the economy continues to fester this event gets fewer and fewer participants. In fact, for the first time in the history of the event we had no law enforcement agency willing to escort us this year. This is very disappointing- to attend one of these events and see recovered burn victims firsthand, it's obvious that the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation operates one of the best programs of its kind anywhere.

On the bright side, my friend Paula had never been on a Burn Relay, so she didn't miss the good old days. She had a great time, having been entrusted with sounding the B&M Super Chief and Grover air horn!

This year's San Diego Burn Run was just cancelleed in it's entirety because of no funding for CHP escorts. MM
