Not sure as to what that base is off of, but definitely not '76 or older.

Why didn't you inquire about one here? Someone might have fixed you up with one that would actually work for you.

As Peter said. There was a spring that went around the stem. The wire went threw the hole and the ends hooked over the spring holding it all to gather ill post a picture of one tomorrow. They can be fixed just a matter of playing with it.

It's easiest just to buy a complete one to begin with. They are not difficult to find.

I didnt realize it wasnt complete. Because of the way the weird skull hood ornament was attached I assumed this would attach in the same manner. Just screwed on with a bolt. But of course we know what happens when we assume.

the problem with e-bay is sellers not knowing what they have. it should have been listed as missing parts. here is one off a Lincoln and one off the 94 fleetwood so much junk on the 94 you can't see how they hooked the spring

they were all set up that same way with wire and spring. got a 80 pickup one on the 96 Chevy that I should have taken the pictures of. keep forgetting that 94 is in the add on security years. the junk hanging off the bottom is so that if the alarm is set and some one grabs the ornament the horn honks.
