Default insurance question

For those of you with limousines that have collector car insurance (ie Hagerty), have you had any problems getting coverage for the limousine? Im guessing you have to state the obvious that the car will NOT be used for hire. Im considering purchasing a Lincoln limo and want to make sure Im not getting into an insurance nightmare

Rick,
I have 5 Limos. Per my insurance policy none can be used for any use other than shows, parades, club active functions ect. If I wanted to add an activity I would need to add a policy rider for the day of the event. Normally I add a $10 M rider to my combined CGL, for the day. All states are different.
Thanks
Gus

I have owned several limousines and have insured them through Hagerty. If my memory serves me correctly, one agent persisted in questioning my use for the car, but ultimately understood that it was a collector car, not a business. Generally, I have had no problems with insuring, or registering them.

Mine are covered by state farm under a personal use police. One is historic the other is not.

I used to own a 6-door and insured through Safe-Co. No issues.
