A friend of mine in Michigan spotted this coach driving through the snow yesterday -

1940 Superior-LaSalle Wilmington Gothic/carved panel Funeral Coach..

I imagine some of our Michigan members are familiar with this coach?

looks like she is still in service good stuff cared for will last a lifetime

This coach was used for Rosa Parks' funeral.

Was that Detroit? The Swanson FH handled Rosa Parks.

Am I correct ,that this 1940 Lasalle Carved panel used to be a Dk blue or Black?

Swanson

That car belongs to Swanson Funeral Home in Detroit and was in fact used during the service for Mother Rosa Parks.

I have seen a couple if carved hearses that were all black and I have to say they never appealed to me. But having said that, this white one is attractive and maybe it is because the details are easily seen.
